I am Ann-Marie and this is my writing buddy Lucy. I write fiction and creative nonfiction with the aim of reminding us how deeply connected we are.
We moved to the Bay area two years ago so I could complete my MFA at California College of the Arts, where I have been lucky enough to work with novelists, Jasmin Darznik, Anita Amirrezvani, and Rita Bullwinkel.

The exciting news is I am working on my first novel, The Sisterhood of Care, a historical fiction. It’s about a gutsy woman in 19th century Manhattan who takes to wearing trousers so she can get from the world of men what she wants: an education and a career as an abortionist.
